Duties and Responsibilities:
Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in
the problems of mental illness. As physicians, they are licensed to use a vary
wide variety of treatment and may work for the government, they even have their
own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities
There duties are all about:
º Designing
treatment programs
º Conducting
psychotherapy sessions
º Prescribing
potent mental illness drugs
º Supervising
electrotherapy treatments
Conducting
research
º Leading
a team of mental health care providers
Salary:$ 90,000 - $200,000
Education:
They are required to complete a degree of
allopathic or osteopathic medicine. They must complete an intensive three year
residency.
Reflection:
This career really does interests me because there’s
a variety of people out there who need attention and I can become that one
person to help another. This career is just quite perfect for me.
