Duties and Responsibilities:

As a periodontist you will have to treat patients who have gum disease and other issues on the bones surrounding the jaw. Your work may also be surgical or non- surgical and it might include tasks like placing implants, developing treatment plans, and providing preventative care. You may also perform cosmetic procedures, including tissue rafts or reductions to alter the way a person’s smile looks.

Salary: $ 101,181 - $ 245,538

Education:

Students who want to become a periodontist need to complete dental school followed by a residency in periodontics. Along with taking at least two years of prior college study. It will approximately take them four years to complete including laboratory instruction.

Reflection:


As a student looking up towards my future I see no interest into working with other people mouths, personally because I find it uncomfortable. However other people may find it interesting.
